Name/Call sign

Gary / Merlin

Location/Local Site
Manchester, play anywhere, regular at SWAT.

Team (If Applicable)
P.T.G

Style of play
I like CQB, get in fight first fight hardest, rest after the others are in regen, long outdoor games are fine, I can sit in a hole waiting for hours, sniper only if I’m tired.

How you got into airsoft/why you airsoft
Always been into guns, LS models I used to buy from Beatties and make up, then they went to firing little pellets, then one day saw an airsoft gun in a shop window, and started

Why? Because it is exhilarating to have a life and death fight without the death, outwitting your opponents and winning, then have a good laugh with those you just fought.

Favourite gun(s)
Socomgear M4 Daniel Defence with G&P M500 tac light, TM Hi-cappa 4.3 as my running gear, but I do enjoy my JG mp5 Navy.

Jai's player profile from EpicAirsoftHD

Name/Call sign
Jai, although most people call me: “There’s that c*nt over there!”

Location/Local Site
My local site for now is Section 8, I’m really enjoying my time there just now. The lads that run it are a great bunch and of course, all my friends go such as Scoutthedoggie, KeithHPOW, Icarus Stu, Kenny and Slothkingsteve!

Team (If Applicable)
TEAM BAMF!

Style of play
I mostly play for the lol’s, If there’s a chance to troll someone… I’ll risk getting hit just to get it done. Totally up for running around and not really one to hang back and let everyone do the work. I guess I have to channel my rage into something!

How you got into airsoft/why you airsoft
I think I started out like most people do now-a-days, I saw some videos of Scouthedoggie, Kahnseb and the like… ever since I’ve been hooked! I really can’t explain why I play Airsoft, I like all my extreme sports and have a keen interest in all things military. The adrenaline is just unparalleled though, it takes something like sky-diving or bull-fighting to match the thrills of being pinned down by automatic fire!

Favorite gun(s)
Gah… this is so hard to answer! Simply… I like short M4 variants, but that’s like saying I like Brunettes, you know? There are literally hundreds of them out there on the market. An H&K M416c is definitely on my shopping list though for new guns in the future. Praise be that VFC are making one (Umarex Nazified Version) so hopefully sometime soon one will find its way into my grubby paws!

Location/Local Site
Plymouth, Play at Southwest Wargames.

Team (If Applicable)
Team DC

Style of play
Stealth mixed in with aggression

How you got into airsoft/why you airsoft
Saw a stand run by the crew of SWWGs on Plymouth Hoe during summer and as I had heard of airsoft from a friend I thought I'd check it out. Had a go on the weapons they had there, shooting targets. but what got me into airsoft was the gas blowback pistols and the feeling it gave me when the slide racked backed after each pull of the trigger. So I put my name down for a game that was coming up. That was 4yrs ago and I'm still loving every minute of it.

     Favorite gun(s)
Anything Russian but I do love my MP5 (Mr MP5 to everyone else)

Yosser's Player Profile

Name/Call sign

Phil Hughes, call sign Yosser.

Location/Local Site

 Team (If Applicable)
NA

Style of play
I used to enjoy the odd suicidal charge, head long into almost impossible odds, but as age creeps up I prefer a more ‘tactical’ approach to play nowadays! I’m also looking into a more sedate AIPSC, practical pistol shooting style ‘extension’ to airsofting, which also gets more use out of the airsoft pistols I own.

How you got into airsoft/why you airsoft
I’ve always loved guns! In 2007 started looking into owning/collecting replicas and due to the vcra act in the UK restricting who could own/purchase RIF’s I discovered airsoft. Attended a few sites that didn’t really endear me to the sport (not knowing what I was doing!) then I joined SWAT and I’ve been hooked since!
I even started my little airsoft blog Yosser’s Airsoft Odyssey to help encourage people to discover airsoft and get more info about it (as there wasn’t that much North West info about when I started).
Through airsofting I’ve met lots of people, some of whom have now become good friends its great attending different sites to play, meet others and even report about on the blog.

     Favorite gun(s)
Hmm, I have a few, when I started I was determined NOT to have an M4 as the world and his dog seemed to have M4’s and variants and that’s what started my love of all things SIG. I have a ICS SIG52 and a KA SIG556 both of which I love. But I also fell for an M4, my ASG ‘Specter’, gets us all in the end!

Milk's Player Profile

 Name/Call sign

Ali, call sign Milk.

Location/Local Site
Reading, local site is Tuddenham near Cambridge, not exactly local but it’s an amazing site, you always guaranteed a great game there.

Team (If Applicable)
Spacktache L.I.

Style of play
Bit of a loan player, like to get right in behind the enemy lines, constantly try and rush weak spots and flanks. It works about half the time.

How you got into airsoft/why you airsoft
Tried it out with a group of mates, instantly got hooked; now we go regularly with the same group of mates.

     Favorite gun(s)
Haven’t really got a favourite gun, but I prefer the lightweight and compact weapons you can easily sling over your back. I don’t need much range as I’m very rarely anymore than 20ft from the enemy. So if I had to pick I’d say my p90.

Carmont's Player Profile

Name/Call sign

Chris Carmont, call sign Carmont.

Location/Local Site
Manchester, I don’t have a local site, myself and my team like to mix it up.

Team (If Applicable)
P.T.G

 Style of play
I’m always at the front of the crowd, aggressive play style. I’m not the type to be loitering around, waiting for other people to push on, take objectives, and have all the fun. I like to get stuck in, be at the forefront of the battle. I don’t mind being point man and catching all the bb’s so my team can progress.

How you got into airsoft/why you airsoft
I first discovered airsoft on the wonder that is YouTube, I got carried away watching all these gun videos (I was like 14-15) when I stumbled across this video of a game in Scotland, since then I’ve been hooked. I only really started playing in January ’11 when I join P.T.G. Since then I have gone to many games, and a couple of weekenders too, and I’ve loved every moment of it. Aside from running around like a gun junkie, I love the social side of airsoft, when you can turn up to a game and just start chatting with people, because you have a common interest.

Favorite gun(s)
I’d have to say my favourite gun at the moment would have to be my G&P M4 Sentry CQB, I’ve had my fair share of problems with this, but over time we worked them out and me and ‘Irene’ have a special bond that no one can break.

Decktron's Player Profile

Name/Call sign

Deck Kelly, Call Sign Decktron

 Location/Local Site
Manchester, I don’t have a local site, myself and my team like to mix it up.

  Team (If Applicable)
P.T.G

 Style of play
I enjoy a relaxed play style when on general open days and when I have the money I can be a bit of a pyro junkie, never save a pyro for later because later may never come (learnt that in the early days when I’d be taking pyro home and left in the kit bag and when I came to use it the next game it wouldn’t work). I enjoy aggressive pushes when I’ve got a team mate or two behind me to make sure I’m not the only one being hit.

How you got into airsoft/why you airsoft
Well when I got into airsoft I didn’t have a lot going on, just college and the odd night out. Getting into airsoft has got me out quite a bit. I also enjoy being a bit of a geardo, I try and keep it cheap.

Favorite gun(s)
Despite owning my G&P M4 which is an awesome RIF I have to say my JG G36c is still my favourite gun, it’s had a spring swap, re shimmed and had a m4 mag well on it and it has never let me down.

Obi's Player Profile

 Name/Call sign

Andre Rosa, call sign Obi.

Location/Local Site
Portugal, UK, Florida. Like to try different sites whenever is possible.

 Team (If Applicable)
P.M.G. – Portus Manus Gnatus

 Style of play
It changes according to the situation. Can either be very aggressive and be the first to storm in, or can be a little bit more stealth and try to flank the adversary or it can be completely defensive, making really hard to be hit, by hiding behind something solid.

How you got into airsoft/why you airsoft
I went into a field trip in the year 2000 and they were selling cheap airsoft guns and I always fancied guns so I bought one. Then I got curious and tried to search for a better one and that was how I found airsoft. Then I found a few friends that also liked guns and they used to play paintball so we converted ourselves to airsoft. Been playing almost every weekend for the past 12 years and I still am an airsoft addict.

 Favorite gun(s)
I like to build my own gun. Get a cheap airsoft M4, then strip it open and change all the internals by the ones that I like. I prefer to use a plastic ABS body, just because it’s not so heavy and it can bend and not break, like it has happened to me with a metal one.
