Coming soon... 20-08-11

Okay guys and girls, we have had to postpone any action on our behalf for the last month or so for numerous reasons.

But we will be back on track soon. We will hopefully have some game footage we are playing on going to, all i'm going to say is drug cartels and DEA, it's looking to be a great game.

We still haven't received any entries for the player profiles. so please if you have 10 minutes spare in your day, follow the post about Player Profiles and write one up for us.

Lack of content. 26-07-11

Recently we have had a slight blip in our plans.

We were hoping to get some player profiles done, in depth reviews of gear and so on. But we have had some problems with the tech.

The camera we were using, is currently in the hands of someone else, therefore we are unable to get any footage done.

Also we haven't had anyone come forward to do a written player profile yet, so if there is anyone out there willing to take 10-15 minutes out of there day to do one, please just find the post with the template questions, or just 'freestyle it'. we really want to be providing regular content for your guys, be it videos or blogs.

I hope we can get this glitch in our plans fixed and we can get filming again.

Thanks for your patience.

Player Profiles 16-07-11

So part of our project involves 'Player Profiles'.

They're basically an airsoft related interview. Such subjects like gear, play styles, favorite site, will be discussed, along with a little bit about said player.

Here are a few questions and answers for example.

Q1, Hi *Name*, how are you? Why don't you tell us a little bit about yourself.
A1, Hi, my name is John, but when airsofting i'm known as Smithy, i'm 27, been playing airsoft now for 5 years. I love being in the middle of the firefight, chucking pyro, getting knife kills and all that other good stuff.

Q2, So what kind of gear do you usually run with?
A2, Well I am usually seen wearing my plate carrier covered in a multitude of pouches, my M4, and duel M1911's and most noticably my helmet with a mohawk on it.

Q3, So tell us a little more about your weapons of choice.
A3, My primary I usually run with is my G&P M4 Special Forces, it's a brilliant AEG, internally and externally, i've upgraded and swapped out the internals so many times, i've lost track of whats inside it. As for my pistols, I have a WE Socom Gear Novak 1911 two-tone limited edition, sliver and black, not every colour of the rainbow, and my other is a Socom Gear Licensed Novak Next 1911. Both exceptional sidearms.

Q4, So Smithy, why do you carry 2 sidearms?
A4, Personally I feel badass when i'm running towards the enemy with 2 pistols pointing down range, also I love 1911's, and we all know they don't have the biggest mag capacity, so to solve that problem, I bought another.

Q5, So we already know you like to be in the middle of the action. So what I want to know is what kind of sites you play at?
A5, I prefer playing CQB games as there is always something going on, there is never a dull moment, I am foever running round CQB sites like a headless chicken finding the enemy.

We would love to have more people who are up for completing a few questions for us. And it would be even better if we have video footage to boot.

So if you feel like you could spare 20 minutes filling in a few questions or making a quick video, then contact us.

Contact Details can be found on this page.

G&P M4 Sentry by Carmont

Well first off let me say that is a sexy looking CQB rifle by G&P, the Vltor upper receiver really makes it stand out from the HUGE M4 variant crowd. Also where the delta ring is supposed to be, there is this Hex bolt set up which is a really nice feature, sure you can't remove the front end as fast as another M4 with a functioning delta ring but there is no need to as this AEG is rear wired and I got it supplied with a mini type connector. I am now running a 7.4v 1100MaH li-po battery in it and the ROF is insane!

It came with a 130 round metal mid cap magazine, I found that this magazine has a tendency to double stack quite alot, so I don't really use it. it also comes with a stubby fore-grip and 3 slimline rail covers.

To buy all the parts that make this RIF you could probably buy 2 of them ready made from Land Warrior Airsoft for the amazing price of £305 or you could throw in a little more cash for the magpul style lower receiver for the price of £330.

Since I got this RIF I've noticed that the upper and lower receiver don't meet to well. Also when I got it the gears were all messed up so I've replaced them. Inside the gearbox there is enough grease to sort out 4-5 guns, so I'd recommend giving it a wipe down and re-applying.

In clockwise order: Open V2 Gearbox, Attachments included with the AEG,
Vltor upper receiver, Vltor style flash hider, 7.0" Daniel Defense free float RIS with covers,
snapshot of the G&P M4 Sentry
Over all, this is a great AEG when you work out the little niggles. I would suggest using a Li-po with it to get the full potentional out of it.

I am considering working on this as a project, and purchase another AEG while this is being worked on, I will keep you updated on the progress of it. If this does go ahead, I will be doing a compotition based on naming the project and the winner will receive a prize valuing around the £50 area, so keep checking back with us to find out more and how to enter.

PTGairsoft 13-7-11

Just a quick post about us.

We are PTGairsoft,

We are a Manchester based airsoft team. Run by Merlin, we attend training sessions set up by him where we practice drills, tactics, room entry and also hold friendly shooting competitions.

Our sites that we play at are usually SWAT airsoft, BrittacAirsoft and Xcalibre airsoft. Some of us do go and play the weekender's such as Sennybridge and Copehill.

We have a varied arsenal of AEG's, pistols and snipers, not to mention Alias' claymore.

2 of the team members Carmont (Myself), and Decktron have set up a Youtube channel (PTGairsoftTV) and are currently getting footage to put up there.

Hopefully if all goes to plan we should be uploading frequently.

So drop us a comment telling us what you'd like to see.
